Why "Violet Gem"?

Amanda’s great uncle was the famous movie star Francis X. Bushman, best known for the silent film Ben-Hur. His exploits were frequently splashed across the tabloids in the 1920s. Always understated, FX (as he was known), wore a 25-karat amethyst ring on his pinky. (A Violet Gem, if you will.)

With over 25 years as a marketing executive and hands-on strategist, Amanda Paull has led brand development, communications, and storytelling for major organizations. Armed with an MBA in International Business, she knows how to take an idea from concept to impact—finding the heart of a story, shaping it into something people care about, and bringing the right people together to make it happen.Amanda's passion for storytelling is deeply influenced by her love of travel and languages. She speaks Japanese, which she honed while living and studying in Japan. Her global perspective informs her creative approach—seeking out stories that reflect the complexity, diversity, and richness of real life.Based in Portland, Oregon, Amanda brings curiosity and creativity to every project she takes on. When she's not producing, she can be found traveling, making chocolate, and rescuing vintage teacups for a new generation to enjoy.
